On the occasion of World Logic Day, the Centre for Public Philosophy of the Institute of Philosophy and the Association for the Promotion of Philosophy organised a round table. It was held on 14 January 2026 at the premises of the Institute. Hrvoje Potlimbrzović, PhD, also gave a presentation on Croatian logical heritage and its relationship with the European logical tradition.
Hrvoje Potlimbrzović, PhD, published a scholarly paper in the journal Prilozi za istraživanje hrvatske filozofske baštine, which is indexed in Scopus. In the paper, he presented findings on Stjepan Matičević’s views on scientific approaches. He concluded that Matičević’s reflections place him among the earlier Croatian philosophers who criticised disciplinary approaches and proposed and advocated scientific approaches that were later established as multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity.

Organised by the Ilok Town Museum and the Department for the History of Slavonia, Syrmia and Baranja of the Croatian Institute of History, the academic conference on the Ilok legal collection of 1525 and medieval Ilok, ON THE OCCASION OF THE 500TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE STATUTE OF THE TOWN OF ILOK, was held in Ilok on 12 December 2025. At the conference, Petra Plantosar presented a paper entitled “Parishes of the Archdeaconry of Marchia in the Register of the Extraordinary Papal Tithe of 1332-1335”.
Assoc. Prof. Ivana Jozić, PhD, participated in an academic conference in German studies in Zagreb with a presentation entitled “Zur Darstellung des Frauenbildes in der deutschsprachigen Osijeker Zeitung Slavonische Presse zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts – eine linguistische Analyse”.
Organised by the German Community – National Association of Danube Swabians in Croatia, the 33rd Academic Conference “Germans and Austrians in the Croatian Cultural Sphere” was held in Osijek from 21 to 22 November 2025. At the conference, Domagoj Tomas gave a presentation entitled “Political Preferences of Germans in the Banovina of Croatia – According to the Results of the 1940 Local Elections”.
Organised by the Department for the History of Slavonia, Syrmia and Baranja of the Croatian Institute of History, the academic conference “WILLS as a Source for the History of Continental Croatia” was held in Slavonski Brod from 9 to 10 October 2025. At the conference, Petra Plantosar presented a paper entitled “Wills of the Clergy of the Diocese of Bosnia and Syrmia in the Second Half of the 19th Century”.
