A10 Procurement of Standardised Measurement Instruments and Data Analysis Software

As part of the implementation of the D-ADAPT – Digital Adaptation of Young Adults project, following the completion of training by Asst. Prof. Marija Milić, PhD, the procurement of the standardised psychological measurement instruments WAIS and WMS was successfully completed. The instruments were delivered on 14 April 2026.

These instruments represent the gold standard in the assessment of cognitive abilities and memory and will be used in the research component of the project to examine executive functions and cognitive processes in young adults.

In addition to the aforementioned equipment, the MAXQDA software package was also purchased for qualitative data processing and analysis. The software enables the structuring, coding, analysis and visualisation of various types of data, including text documents, interviews, focus groups, videos, audio recordings, photographs and surveys.

The procurement of these instruments is part of the activities of WP2 – Preparation of Prerequisites for Conducting the Research, thereby ensuring the key conditions for the high-quality and methodologically sound implementation of the planned research.

A9 Asst. Prof. Milić Successfully Completed Training in the Use of WAIS and WMS Psychological Instruments

As part of the activities of the D-ADAPT – Digital Adaptation of Young Adults project, Asst. Prof. Marija Milić, PhD, a member of the project team, successfully completed professional training in the use of the standardised WAIS psychological measurement instrument.

Training in the use of the WAIS instrument (Level C test) enables reliable and valid assessment of adults’ cognitive abilities, including various aspects of intelligence and executive functions. This further strengthened the research capacities of the project team for conducting complex psychological assessments.

This activity is part of WP2 – Preparation of Prerequisites for Conducting the Research, ensuring a high level of quality and standardisation of the data collected in subsequent phases of the project.

A8 First Part of the Research Equipment Purchased

Part of the required research equipment has been successfully procured, while the remaining equipment is currently undergoing the procurement procedure. Photographs of the equipment received are provided below.

A7 Dissemination of Project Results: A Skill for Life – Let Us Learn to Take Care of Ourselves

On 24 March 2026, the mental health conference “A kako si ti?” was held at OSCentar, IT Park Osijek 9, Osijek (conference programme), organised by Motus Media and the City of Osijek.

At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Ana Kurtović, PhD, leader of WP4 Dissemination and a member of our project team, delivered a lecture entitled A Skill for Life: Let Us Learn to Take Care of Ourselves, in which she presented project results related to a review of research on possibilities for promoting the mental health of young adults.

Our team member Damir Marinić, PhD, Lecturer, also participated in the panel discussion “Let Us Break the Silence around Mental Health”.

A6 Reporting on Research Subteam Meetings

As part of the D-ADAPT project, meetings of research subteams focusing on key thematic areas are held regularly: mental health, risky behaviours in the digital environment, and the academic context and education.

A5 Second Joint Project Team Meeting Held

At the second joint meeting of the project team, members continued working on the development of the project’s research framework. During the meeting, variables previously collected using the brainstorming method were reviewed with the aim of further elaborating and systematising them.

To organise the work more efficiently, the members agreed to divide into smaller thematic teams. Each team was assigned an appropriate working title, thereby laying the foundations for a more structured approach to the development of individual research areas.

Three research working teams and their members were agreed upon:

  • Mental Health – Ana Kurtović, Željko Beissmann, Gorka Vuletić, Ana Babić Čikeš, Ivana Marčinko
  • Risky Behaviours in the Digital Environment – Daniela Šincek, Marija Milić, Damir Marinić, Silvija Galić, Amanda Glavaš
  • Academic Context/Education – Ivana Martinović, Mirna Varga, Gabrijela Vrdoljak, Jasmina Tomašić Humer

The meeting focused on defining the next steps in the work of the subteams, with an emphasis on cooperation and coordination of activities in the next phase of the project.

A4 Dissemination of Results through Participation in the ALOPPS Conference

Project team members Prof. Ana Kurtović, PhD, and Prof. Daniela Šincek, PhD, participated in the international academic conference ALOPPS 2025.

This was the 8th International Conference “Current Issues in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Educational Sciences and Social Work”, held in Belgrade on 27 and 28 November 2025, organised by the Academy for Human Development and partner institutions, including the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek. A3 First Joint Project Team Meeting Held

At the initial project team meeting, an overview of the project documentation, work plan and financial plan was presented, and the key steps for the start of project implementation were defined. Particular emphasis was placed on the organisation of work and the distribution of the first operational tasks. The following work package team leaders were agreed upon:

  • WP1: Development of Methodology – Jasmina Tomašić Humer
  • WP2: Preparation of Prerequisites for Conducting the Research – Gabrijela Vrdoljak
  • WP3: Conducting the Research – Ana Babić Čikeš
  • WP4: Dissemination of Results – Ana Kurtović

A plan to increase project visibility and dissemination was also developed.

A2 Project Implementation Agreement Signed

The D-ADAPT – Digital Adaptation of Young Adults project implementation agreement was signed by project leader Prof. Daniela Šincek, PhD, at the premises of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.

By signing the agreement, the formal conditions were established for carrying out the planned research activities and for the official implementation of the project.

A1 Notification of Project Approval for Funding

We are pleased to announce that the project D-ADAPT – Digital Adaptation of Young Adults (581-UNIOS-62), funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, has been officially approved for funding.

In addition, on 5 September 2025, instructions regarding amendments to the project financial plan were received.
