The Bavarian American Academy Summer School will be held June 5-13, 2023 in Lexington, Kentucky. The theme “Cultural Narratives of the State in a Comparative Perspective” will be explored by twelve distinguished faculty from the United States and Europe, along with the work-in-progress of 20 enrolled graduate students and junior faculty, accepted by application review.
The $550 enrollment fee covers full tuition, lodging in a luxury dorm room, several meals, and an array of cultural activities, including tours of historic sites, of the world-famous thoroughbred horse farms, and the Woodford Bourbon Distillery, along with visits to several jazz and blues venues. The BAA also substantially subsidizes intercontinental travel.
