Gostujuće predavanje na Odsjeku za povijest
Na Odsjeku za povijest će 7. svibnja 2025. godine u 8:00 u učionici 31 u sklopu kolegija „Svjetska povijest ranog novog vijeka“ gostujuće predavanje održati doc. dr. sc. Árpád Tóth, mađarski povjesničar zaposlen na Sveučilištu u Miškolcu (Mađarska). Gostujući predavač održat će predavanje pod naslovom
Urbanisation, urban network and urbanity in pre-industrial Hungary.
The lecture aims to give an introduction to the recent study on pre-industrial Hungarian urban history (1750-1850). Starting with the social scientific view applied in the 1970s and reaching the cultural historical approach of the years of the millenium, it examines the changing concept of ’town’ and ’urban’ as well as the consequent picture of the urban network and urbanisation. It also refers to new social developments in terms of civil activism (in the form of voluntary societies) and early signs of capitalism in early and mid-19th century towns in the Kingdom of Hungary.
