The University of León (Spain) and Leuphana Universität (Germany)
invite foreign language teacher trainers to engage their students in our
Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Innovation in Foreign
Language Education" running from November 2025 to January 2026. This BIP
provides MA-level student teachers with opportunities to explore
innovative teaching methodologies through online lectures with
international experts, collaborative research in multinational teams,
and a week-long mobility period in León, Spain (December 9-13, 2025).
Participants will investigate challenges in foreign language teaching
across Europe, develop solutions through comparative research projects.
The programme combines virtual exchange with intercultural learning and
focuses on key innovations including task-based learning, AI in foreign
language education, and Open Educational Resources. The student workload
is approximately 65-75 hours (including the mobility week) and students
receive a certificate confirming 3 ECTS of student work upon
completion.
Minimum requirements for participation: Students must have a strong B2
level in English and be studying a degree in Teacher Education. Students
must organise funding for travel and accommodation from their home
institutions.
A short information session for teacher trainers and international
offices interested in engaging their students in the BIP will take place
in zoom on Friday 6 June at 10.00 CET (https://zoom.us/my/robodowd)
