Conference ‘Mario stands for … Mentor, Metonymy, Multimodality’

The Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek takes great pleasure to invite you to the colloquium dedicated to Professor Mario Brdar, member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts who has shaped the minds of countless students during his 40-year tenure with us and who has created a unique network of colleagues and researchers in the field of Cognitive Linguistics.

The colloquium organised on occasion of Mario’s retirement is envisioned as a meeting point of his mentees, colleagues and friends who would contribute with their talks to thematic panels focused on topics close to Mario’s heart: metonymy, metaphor and Cognitive Linguistics in general.
