Let’s use creative approaches to (re)imagine together! Let’s build a liveable future for all –  one photo at a time!

With this Art-Science Lab, we are seeking creative responses to difficult questions and challenges, including: How will we live together well? What futures do we desire? How do we move further together? How will we cope with species extinction, natural degradation, and the loss of places? How can we relate beauty, engagement, and sustainability? How can we strengthen a sense of community and connection to all and a feeling of oneness when we address global challenges? What stories can we tell to nurture beautiful, inclusive, sustainable places in harmony with people, nature, and our planet?

Show us the future through a new lens!

Submit a photo and narrative by March 31  2024 and receive a travel grant to participate in the Art & Science Lab in Venice and visit the 60th International ART BIENNALE 2024.

We invite young creatives from 18 to 29 years old to share their imagination and interpretation of how we will live together well. Submit your photo and narrative illustrating creative responses to how we can (re)create our futures together using the submission link.

Photography has the potential to tell stories and transmit knowledge. Photography can spark creative imagination and active experimentation with diverse challenges, spaces, cultures and communities. It can inspire us to rethink and reimagine.

This activity of the Cost Action Shift is inspired by the creative and interdisciplinary initiative of the New European Bauhaus, which connects the European Green Deal to our living spaces and experiences and calls us to imagine and build together a sustainable and inclusive future that is beautiful for our eyes, minds, and souls.

How to take part:

Submit a photo that illustrates your imagination by 31 March 2024, to receive a travel grant for participation in a 2-day art-and-science lab in Venice.
