Dr Ljubica Matek participated at the English and Irish Women Writers of the Long Eighteenth Century – A Commemorative Conference, from 24 to 25 November 2023, at the University of Pécs, Hungary, where she delivered a talk titled Political and Social Activism of Lady Mary Wortley Montagu.
The conference dedicated to outstanding women writers of the eighteenth century was organized by the Department of English Literatures and Cultures, University of Pécs, the Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Pécs and the Irish Studies Research Centre, University of Pécs.
